We are happy to announce the winner of the INTERDEM Academy Travel Fellowship 2024-2025. This year, 4 applications were sent in, all high quality, presenting us with great ideas for exchanges, to expand knowledge and enhance collaboration within the INTERDEM network.
After considerate deliberation of the jury, the winner of this year was chosen: Marine Markaryan! Marine is a PhD-candidate in the HOMEDEM consortium, based at Maastricht University. She will visit the Dementia Services Development Centre (DSDC) at Bangor University for 9 weeks, to conduct interviews with people with dementia for the project ‘Sustaining couplehood in the face of dementia’.
Marine states “To sum up, this exchange opportunity facilitated by the INTERDEM Travel Fellowship will be of great benefit for my professional development, for allowing the voice of people with dementia be better represented in the line of research on personal relationships in couples affected by dementia, as well as for establishing long-lasting collaboration between the DSDC, Bangor University, and Alzheimer Center Limburg (ACL), Maastricht University (UM).”
The jury members said about this application:
- The candidate already explore literature about and is involved in the field.
