Currently working on the DETERMIND project which looks at the lived experiences of people with dementia and their carers, with the goal to reduce inequalities and improve services/access to services. Specifically for this project I am helping to recruite LGBTQ+ and various ethnic groups into the study to help highlight under-represented experiences.
As well as this, through work such as my MSc dissertation, I am also keenly interested in the role of online social support, which is also something that DETERMIND has begun to include within its focus.
I am also currently undertaking a project with Esther Loseto-Gerritzen regarding the experiences of people with young onset dementia within care homes.

My background is in Medical Informatics. My area of expertise is at the intersection of human factors engineering, usability engineering, and digital health technology for people living with dementia. In my research I am primarily interested in (1) applying usability evaluation methods to assess technologies for this population and (2) developing design principles and guidelines to support researchers and industry with the development and usability evaluation (both expert- and user-testing) of digital health technologies for people living with SCD, MCI, or dementia.
