As a PhD candidate at Maastricht University, my research focuses on understanding caregivers' work-life balance and well-being for individuals with dementia, with particular attention to their resilience in managing daily stressors. My work focuses on exploring and mapping the demands and resources these caregivers navigate across their work and home contexts. By identifying effective strategies to balance their professional and personal lives, I aim to contribute to improving their overall well-being and quality of life. My expertise in intensive longitudinal sampling (ILS) methods, particularly experience sampling methodology (ESM), enables me to capture caregivers' intricate, real-time experiences.

My PhD project is part of the SPREAD+ consortium in which insight will be obtained from a need-driven approach into determinants of psychosocial well-being of the care triad consisting of people with dementia, informal- and professional caregivers. Special attention is paid to the quality of the relationships between the three parties and the roles they play in promoting each other's psychosocial well-being, their quality of life and the prevention of care burden among informal- and professional caregivers |
