Sad news

Dear INTERDEM members,

We received the sad news that Marc Wortmann (64) passed away unexpectedly on Monday August 15. Marc has been an active INTERDEM member for many years. He was the former director of Alzheimer Netherlands and Alzheimer’s Disease International. Marc connected many people in the dementia field in his rich worldwide network of researchers, policymakers, fundraisers, advocates and volunteers. He was always willing to give strategic advice. Until his last day, he devoted himself to the people with dementia and their caregivers.

We wish his wife, son, daughter and other relatives and friends a lot of strength with this loss.
