The Centre for Applied Dementia Studies is one of the World’s leading centers for dementia education. We have over 20 years’ experience of delivering high-quality online dementia education, which is created and developed in collaboration with people living with dementia, their families and a range of health and social care professionals. The following study options will be starting in September 2021.

MSc Advanced Dementia Studies

This programme is underpinned by cutting-edge research and has been designed to develop leaders in transformative dementia care. We adopt a human rights perspective to understanding the experience of people living with dementia and encourage multidisciplinary team-working. People living with dementia are actively involved in all aspects of the education including design, delivery, assessment and evaluation.  The programme is delivered part-time and is fully online. It is accessible to people who do not have a first degree, and who work in a wide range of dementia care services. The modules in Years 1 and 2 can also be taken as single modules outside the full programme.
