This three-year part-time course is intended for UK and international students who are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Health and social care professionals who want to gain a specific qualification in working with people with dementia<\/li>\n<li>Voluntary workers who already have contact with people with dementia<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The MSc Advanced Dementia Studies is a part-time distance learning programme. Study online from anywhere in the world, our flexible approach allows you to combine study with work and home life. The course encourages collaborative learning, enabling students to learn from and with students from around the world.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;I am settling well into the studying\u00a0\u2013\u00a0ok, I admit it, I can&#8217;t put it down!\u00a0So many stimulating and thought-provoking commentaries and reading\u201d<\/em> (Feedback from current MSc student)<\/p>\n<p>The course is delivered by academics working at the world-leading Centre for Applied Dementia Studies at the University of Bradford. The Centre has over 20 years of knowledge and experience in delivering dementia education and training and was awarded the Queen\u2019s Anniversary Prize for excellence in Higher and Further dementia education.<\/p>\n<p>The programme aligns to tiers 2 and 3 of the Dementia Training Standards Framework.\u00a0Our modules are underpinned by cutting-edge research and delivered by academics who are actively involved in dementia research and\/or practice development. The course is supported by Experts by Experience who assist with its development and evaluation.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe tutors\u2019 supportive and informative approaches and their attitudes towards learner\u2019s specific needs were the major strengths of the programme.
