As founder chair and now co-chair of INTERDEM \u00a0\u00a0I \u2013 and Myrra Vernooij Dassen our \u00a0Chair, wish to \u00a0reassure \u00a0our scientific community that the need for collaboration across Europe will now be even more urgent if we are to continue to realise the impressive gains we have \u00a0made in improving the quality of research and practice in dementia care in the past 15 years.\u00a0\u00a0INTERDEM will continue and intensify \u00a0European collaboration that will of course include the UK, since we have demonstrated that the whole is greater than the sum of the \u00a0parts as a backbone for scientific progress in dementia care.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Esme Moniz-Cook<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Myrra Vernooij-Dassen<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; I, Esme Moniz-Cook am of course disappointed that the British public voted narrowly to leave the EU.
