MSc Advanced Dementia Studies

The Centre for Applied Dementia Studies at the University of Bradford is now recruiting for the MSc Advanced Dementia Studies starting in September 2019.

HeaderThe MSc Advanced Dementia Studies is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to become leaders, and to influence evidence-based changes within their field of dementia care practice. This three-year part-time course is intended for UK and international students who are:

  • Health and social care professionals who want to gain a specific qualification in working with people with dementia
  • Voluntary workers who already have contact with people with dementia

The MSc Advanced Dementia Studies is a part-time distance learning programme. Study online from anywhere in the world, our flexible approach allows you to combine study with work and home life. The course encourages collaborative learning, enabling students to learn from and with students from around the world.

The course is delivered by academics working at the world-leading Centre for Applied Dementia Studies at the University of Bradford. The Centre has over 20 years of knowledge and experience in delivering dementia education and training and was awarded the Queen’s Anniversary Prize for excellence in Higher and Further dementia education.

The programme aligns to tiers 2 and 3 of the Dementia Training Standards Framework. Our modules are underpinned by cutting-edge research and delivered by academics who are actively involved in dementia research and/or practice development. The course is supported by Experts by Experience who assist with its development and evaluation.
