On 5 December 2018  the World Dementia Council gathered again in London, five years after David Cameron launched the initiative to challenge dementia at the G8 summit. The theme was progress and challenges on the road to 2025. David Cameron was one of the speakers. Based on the progress made he expressed his confidence, because there is light at the end of a very long tunnel.

Dutch minister of Health Hugo de Jonge presented a specific example of a promising intervention, addressing stigma in dementia and emphasising the potential of people with dementia, the INTERDEM members’ DemenTalent project.
